Redman Leaves Male HS for Jeffersonville High in Indiana

Jefferson High in southern Indiana is hiring Bob Redman, who led Male HS in Louisville, as its new head football coach.

Redman led Male to a 190-49 record and three Kentucky state championships after taking over in 1992. Redman is fourth on Kentucky's all-time coaching victories list with 317 wins.

Kentucky's Winningest High School Football Coach Retires

After 44-years, 345 wins and three Kentucky high school football championships, Newport Central Catholic head coach Bob Schneider has decided to retire.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Kentucky's winningest head coach (345-183-2) is retiring after undergoing open heart surgery. In the story, it's mentioned that the Thoroughbreds will now begin their search for their first coach since 1966, and the search will probably include Schneider's son Dave, who took over for his dad for the last four-and-a-half games this season after his dad's health problems.
